Our History
While pursuing her PhD in Art History in Italy, our founder Mrs. Nina Marok realised that her true passion
lies
far away from academy career. She actually found out that organising events that make people happy is her true
fulfillment. So she entered the tour business as an Italian tour guide working for major tour
operators in Rome and, as a result of her talent and commitment, soon she was able to build a
reputation in the sector.
She realized that the processes and approach to clients could to be improved. Not just a little bit, but at
the revolutionary level. Many things needed to be changed. From simple organisational tasks to general
philosophy, all of it. So she changed it.
Even though being a part of a big company has its benefits, it often means that the services you provide
lack a
depth of a human touch. So, she decided to start Sublime Tours, a tour operator that will always value the
true idea of hospitality before anything else. It started as a one person agency. Nina was guiding tours,
creating itineraries, managing relations with providers, creating promotions…
Fortunately, it did not take long before she found the rest of us - other
guides who share the same values, best local chefs, coolest restaurant owners and even the administrative
support.
